A woman has made history by marrying the colour pink in a bizarre ceremony – after dating it for more than 40 years.

Kitten Kay Sera is known as ‘the pinkest person in the world’ and she made headlines in 2018 as it emerged she had spent over £1 million on her monochromatic home and wardrobe

Now she’s taken her obsession a step further, as Kitten has now married the colour, after being inspired by a child she had spoken to.

For the ceremony, Kitten wore pink, arrived in a pink Chevrolet, and gave herself a pink ring in what must by the least white wedding in history.

What do you think about Kitten’s unusual wedding? Let us know in the comments…

In a post on Instagram, Kitten shared the “biggest day” of her life with her fans, and she included pictures of her wedding cake, which was topped with a pink swan.

She wrote: “A very special thank you to @bigsugarbakeshop WOW!!! My wedding cake & cupcakes were fantastic! I am so honored to have you featured at the biggest day of my life!”

In an interview with KVVU-TV, Kitten said she had dated the colour for four decades but thought now was the right time to make it official.

She said she got the idea from a child who mentioned marrying the colour since she loved it so much.

Kitten’s love affair began almost by accident on her 20th birthday, as she was trying to work out what to wear to her party. She settled on a pink top, pink fluffy skirt, pink shoes and pink accessories.

Speaking previously, she said: “I felt fabulous. I thought, if wearing that much pink could make me feel fantastic, why not wear pink every day?

“Going back to blue jeans and a white T-shirt seemed ludicrous to me. I didn’t want to wait until the next special occasion to feel pink-credible again.

“I wanted to feel and look pretty in pink every day. I sold my car so I had enough money to leave my hometown of Houston, Texas, and head for the bright pink lights of Hollywood.

“I like to say I’m a flamingo in a world full of pigeons. When I walk down a busy street during the morning commute, everyone’s wearing grey and black. There’s no expression, no individuality. Yet people think I’m the crazy one!”

Over the years, Kitten estimates she has spent over one million pounds on pink paraphernalia and outfits.

“That sounds like a lot, but if you break it down over the decades, it’s no more than anyone else is spending on cars, sofas and soft furnishings. The only difference is, for me every pound is spent on pink,” she says.

From the moment you step over the threshold into her pink palace, everything is pink.
