Leamington Spa fire: Huge clouds of black smoke as firefighters tackle blaze

A huge blaze has broken out in Leamington.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, have rushed to the scene where the fire broke out.

Residents and businesses nearby have been urged by police to keep all windows and doors closed as firefighters deal with the incident.

One person said plumes of black smoke could be seen from the town hall. Johnthan Branson tweeted: “Massive fire in Leamington! Hope everyone is ok. View from town hall.”

Paul Evans said: Leamington fire. Drove past and people have their heads in their hand and being sick etc. Air ambulance just arrived. Grim.”

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “Emergency services are currently in attendance at a fire at a premises in Juno Drive, Leamington.

“Road closures are currently in place. Please keep windows and doors closed. Further updated will be posted when available.”
